I broke down yesterday and bought the unlocked version on the Treo 650 directly from Palm. The unlocked version lets you use it with basically any cell phone service and included all the features such as Bluetooth DUN. There other nice thing about the unlocked version, is it actually retains some of its value since anyone can use it and the resale market isn’t restricted to one particular carrier.
Unfortunatly, my obsession with the Treo seems to have only begun. There are a variety of gadgets that can work with it to do all sorts of things.
The picture above is of a Bluetooth GPS unit that works with the 650 for only $300.
If someone calls me in the car while I’m using the gps, I will need to answer calls handsfree. In 6 months time, I don’t know if I will have any dash space left.
