Iverson

Do you hear that sound? Its the sound of silence in the Wachovia center. That will be the sound after Iverson is gone.

Sixers to trade Iverson

The fact of the matter is, the general manager for the Sixers should have been fired about 2 months after the Webber trade. Lets get a guy on one leg with a $62 million dollar contract. King gave Dalembert a six-year, $64-million contract extension to the under performing center, King stays put? It simply defies logic that King is still with the sixers.

King should be fired for not providing decent role players to make the Sixers a potential championship winning team. The facts is that King’s acquisitions and contract negotiations are so bad, that Iverson is the only person on the Sixers right now who is tradeable. Are the Sixers going to get equal value for Iverson? Hell no! Any deal should involve a lottery draft pick(Ogden draft) and two solid players, but the fact is that the current situation gives teams a buyer friendly market, and Iverson’s “rep” either unwarranted or warranted, decreases his value.

As a partial season ticket holder, I bought a package to see Iverson play. Now, it may be three years before the Sixers are a playoff contender again.
